She may have gone full retard but she has the wonderful ability to still be beautiful and make you fall in love with her.

Loved this movie! Winger did an excellent job, too!

I'm not afraid of heights, snakes or redheaded women (Raylan).

"Retard" is an ugly word that has no place in polite discourse. If you ever have the opportunity to be acquainted with people who have developmental disabilities, you will likely come to realize that. Such words are as hurtful as any racist slur.

7 years too late...

You're a good person for saying this.

I like ugly words like "retard", especially when they accurately depict someone. The chick in this movie is a retard.

The word 'retard' can be used as an insult, but 'retarded' is not an insult. Its a description of a mental condition.
I have worked with mentally retarded children, and they themselves referred to themselves as just that: mentally retarded. They were not even sad about it, to them it was just what they were.

Do you not think she was more likely to have Asperger's than being actually "retarded?" She could obviously use a cash register efficiently, count money herself to the precise penny, work a full-time job, etc. Not saying that high-functioning "retarded" folks cannot, but the ones that come to mind that DO usually are of the chromosomal affected like Down's syndrome; and obviously she didn't have their distinct appearance or verbal attributes. She "could not tell a lie" and was somewhat clueless to things not regarded fully in context... also something on par with Asperger's syndrome.
