Nick Cave?

Is it just me, or does Nicolas Hope's performance as Bubby on stage remind anyone else of Nick Cave, especially during his Birthday Party years? Listen to the album Mutiny/Bad Seed in particular. Parts of the song Sonny's Burning really come through in some of Bubby's performance. Granted, Nick Cave is bipolar and was severely messed up on drugs and alcohol during that time frame, but I do find the resemblance striking.

Could even be early Hunters. Before Mark learnt how to sing!

I've been a Nick Cave fan since 1987 and he didn't remind me of Nick at all. The music was awful and I wish the film stayed along the dark path that the first half hour had set up.

The band looked and sounded more like TISM in their last performance.

RIP Tokin' Blackman!

Yes, Nick Cave popped into my head when I first saw the film. He reminds me a bit of 'Unknown Hinson' as well.

He reminded me of Nick Cave sometimes, but other times he reminded me of Hugo Weaving.

Hi,

My girlfriend and I watched this when it came out and we all agreed that there was more than a nod to Nick Cave. Melissa comes from Perth and had seen Nick Cave live and some mannorisms were definately Cavian.
