My favorite movies...

Bulworth(white senator with a death wish exposes corruption and becomes a revolutionary rapper)
Unleashed(boy treated like an attack dog gets his chains removed and is "adopted" by a loving family)
Vanilla Sky(remake of Abre los Ojos, a privileged guy loses his identity and spirals into madness)
Leon: The Professional(a hitman teams up with a 12 y/o girl and starts to regain his humanity, I recommend the extended version)
Apocalypto(simple tribals come into conflict with Mayan empire... it follows one man's epic fight for his family's way of life)

These are the most meaningful films to me. In addition to being great art, they also have a touch of humanity that is absent from most movies, and are just darn entertaining.
