Why do the words "Papua New Guinea" trigger so much response in Lili Taylor's character?

Seriously, every time she, Faye Dunaway's character, even MENTIONS those words, Lili Taylor's character gets incredibly upset, angry, calls her "evil", starts throwing food and stuff around and even threatens to kill herself outrightly, why is that? Why is Papua New Guinea such an emotional trigger for her character and that even saying those words out loud causes such strong outbursts?

If I acted like this in my family when they say mentioned those or similar words, I will be highly told off and disciplined for it and my words for calling someone "evil" as a result will be thrown back at me and counteracted with an angry argument. Just saying.

I was awaiting for that Future Sound of London song "Papua New Guinea" to turn up and have Lili Taylor's character scream "TURN IT OFFFFFFFFFFF!!!", lol. :) :) :)
