So remind me who put the Baby There??
I have recently been revisiting this great show of my childhood and been catching up on some of the episodes, can somebody tell me who put the baby there in the searies finale?
it was a unresolved storyline where somebody gave them a baby to protect it from assassins.
shareI always thought it was a couple from new krypton. Even though Clark/Kal El is not their ruler, introducing them was the 'bridge' for stories/plots if there were another season.
We get to see a krytonian child grow up on this series. Okay Clark having already gone through it can now help the kiddo adjust. And it will have 'relatives' to contact after all.
But it still would have been neat.
Other storylines.
Jimmy finds out Clark is superman. Since his dad also has secrets, he is good at keeping them.
Think the baby storyline would've lasted a few episodes not for eternity if so the show would take another turn for the worst after the wedding.
shareI don't think the show would have taken a turn for the worse. Until they got all 90210-ey, Smallville--when it was just focused on clark growing up was pretty good.
Lois and Clark child rearing an infant from new Krypton could have been interesting if done right. Of course Dr. Klein serves as pediatrician.
The show already took a turn for the worst once they got married. The original producer did not want them to get together until the fifth season, but when she left after the first season it took a different direction, got married a lot quicker then they should've.
Having them with a kid would diminish his lone place in the world if they continued on, it works for like a comic like with Rebirth but not for a movie or TV series, movies and TV shows have their standards that are very different from comic books.
If people ask for Lois and Clark for a kid it's likely they'll be no longer be interested in them which what happened with the wedding.
My guess is the baby is Ching and Zara's.
shareI thought it was another couple's from new krypton...after all Ching and Zara could get together now. Zara is royalty who has every need provided for. Others in that society however may not.
I had this idea in an unaired season that Ching and Zara become relatives to Lois and Clark and vice versa. They each learn about--and teach their kids about the other's heritage and planet.
Clark finds out that his powers do not work on New Krypton when the family goes for a vacation---but alternately that Lois does has powers on that planet!!They then pull Ultra Woman out of retirement when something happens specifically on New Krypton.
Zara and Ching's kid says to their kid (who of course thinks mom is a 'dork') your mom is the coolest!!
The kid says something like 'umm thanks" not expecting it.
