Where could i see all the episodes?

i live in europe and here the show ends with season number 5 , so where i can see the last 3 seasons?

reply

Personally I bought the box set last October from the USA to get to see all the episodes, especially as season 5 ended mid way through a 4 parter. Season 6 starts with Resurection parts 1 and 2 and concludes the bombing story. In order to watch the dvd box set I had to buy a blue ray player which allowed me to watch north America dvds so it was a pretty expensive way of getting to watch all the episodes but totally worth it.

reply

well i have a blu ray player , are you sure i can see american dvd with it?

reply

You can if it is equipped to see north American dvd's. I have a multi region blu ray player and you can tell quite easily if yours is compatable as it will be well advertised on your blu ray player and on the box it came in as it is quite a big selling point to have a multi region player.

philbletso, I just bought the DVD Complete Series set on EBay. I was told it was "brand, new and factory sealed". It did come sealed in plastic, but I noticed a couple of things that I found unusual. Can you tell me if your set had bad quality video and if the season 7 episodes Gangland, Parts I & II are printed on the DVD itself as "Ganglang, Part I & Ganglang,Part II"?

I think I may have gotten a bootleg set. If it is they did a pretty good job of copying the real ones, except the video quality is bad and I noticed that one typo printed on the disk. Everything else looks legit. If I did get bootlegs I want to get it straightened out with the seller or get a claim in with EBay right away and get my money back.

I've gotten other DVD sets released by VEI before and the quality has always been much better than this set.

I've gotten the Mod Squad, Cagney & Lacey, In Search of ..., and McMillan & Wife sets, but I bought 3 of them directly from VEI and Cagney & Lacey I bought from the Cagney & Lacey website where the producer Barney Rosensweig was selling the complete series 30th anniversary collector's edition that included the first season with Meg Foster and the pilot with Loretta Swit. All have been great quality.

Hi. The quality is brilliant on mine and there is no typo in season 7. I've just checked it and it simply says;
Gangland (1)
Gangland (2)
Unfortunately it does look as if you have got yourself a dodgy set. Good luck in getting your money back and obviously just write on here if you need anymore information.

Thanks!

I'm definitely going to email that seller later today. I was suspicious when I put in the first DVD and the video was like 4th generation VHS quality. I kept checking the disks and the quality never got any better. Then I saw that typo and it made me even more suspicious of the set. I've got many DVD TV sets and movies and have never seen video quality like this. Even those public domain $1 DVD movies have better video quality than this set does.

Luckily I decided to check this set first thing when it arrived. I just got it yesterday, so I should be able to get my money back from the seller and if not I'll get it from the EBay money back guarantee.

All these years I've never bought anything off of EBay and I get burned first time out even with a seller who had nearly 300 good reviews and 0 bad reviews from other buyers. I'll stick to Amazon.com and other reputable sites from now on.

Just saw on the VEI website they've got the Diagnosis Murder complete series set on sale now for only $27 more than what I paid on EBay and they've got free shipping, too. If I can get a refund on this set, I'll go to VEI.

if this is not the VEI set then it is definitely bootleg

Like I said in my earlier post, they did a good job superficially of copying the look of the VEI set. Including printing the VEI logos and CBS logos and the look of the box art and printing on the DVDs themselves. And the DVDs didn't look like "burned" DVDs. They even broke the DVDs into half seasons cases on the couple of seasons that were split by VEI. The only thing that made me think it was a bootleg was the video quality and the typos.

I used a program called DVDInfoPro to check the set and it turned out it was a bootleg set and I got my money back from the seller on EBay.

I have since bought the set again from VEI through Amazon. The video quality is great on the newer set.

Except for the couple of typos printed on the DVDs on the bootleg set that I mentioned above, the box art and printing on the DVDs I bought directly from VEI and the bootleg set are almost indistinguishable.

An interesting tale this.

Many years ago I too landed up with a bootleg series of Seinfeld I'd purchased from eBay. Again it was something stupid like a typo on one of the discs which gave it away. Got my money back and the seller was shut down.

Funny thing is though I actually prefer this copy discs - when you first put them on you can hit "menu" on your player to get straight through to the episodes listing. Ironically you can't do this on legitimate discs as you have to wait for the anti piracy adverts to play through!
