... and the Tin Man who needed a heart

The assassin who needed a conscious, and gunslinger who needed better vision, etc

I didn't hate Unforgiven but I have always been a bit amazed by the huge accolades it receives. It has some good moments in the script and a decent ending. The movie as a whole was mediocre at best and heavy handed at worst. Felt like hasty rewrites of hasty rewrites.
I've seen many worse westerns but this one doesn't even crack a top 20 for me.

Before you write a page on the hidden depths of this film, I have read the big threads on it here. Some decent interpretations here and there but I think they lay in the mind of the interpreter and not the reality of this movie. Some good points changed my mind on some minor complaints or even softened my opinion enough to elevate this from 5/10 to 6/10
