warning baby falls on spike!

I do not approve of films where babies fall on spikes.

In a weird way, I love the fact that the baby falls down on the spike and dies. The same with the exploding cannibalistic children (them pissing their pants afterwards was a bit strange though).
I mean: In how many films does such grim thing happen; in what super hero film does such thing happen? This extraordinary thing (in my opinion anyway) gives the film an extra notch up the scale

It's a freaking nail. You make it sound like Mortal Kombat or something. God…

If you put butter on the feet of Schrodinger's cat, would you still have to measure it to be uncertain?

The only reason I like the movie is because of that guy that feels on pain. He does nothing but yell the whole time, like he has a orgasism or something, when fighting the females.

Usually babies or children don't die even not in action movies.

Indeed that was a sad moment but that doesn't make this a bad movie.

Do people maybe forget that Wonder Woman did everything to try to save the baby and when the baby died she cried.

I am a big supporter of babies falling on spikes. I pass out pamphlets on Sunday afternoons.

I just saw this last night. The baby spiking was kinda shocking, unexpected, strange, and ulmitametely bizarre, especiallly in the way it was oozing gushes of blood for a small infant child.

babies fall on spikes everyday in china its the leading cause of baby death... I don't know why they leave the spikes all over the place though.

Baby falls on spike? More like a rusty nail! Still, that scene where Wonder Woman/Shadow Fox(whatever she's called in Miramax's chopshop version)makes an ill fated attempt at saving the kidnapped baby's life had its share of pathos.
There's a sombre Cantopop song over soundtrack as the poor baby dies and Wonder Woman sheds a tear.

I think the Cantopop is replaced with instrumental versions in the U.S. cut. The Miramax version also omits the scenes with the Number 9 Cannibal Kids(Would you like a leg or a breast? The Jamaican Wings are done!), the scene where Ah Gau eats his severed finger as well as a new, cheesy Charlie's Angels style credit sequence, etc. I wonder if fans in the U.S. will ever be blessed with a sincere DVD version of 'The Heroic Trio'? My Tai Seng DVD copy is bare bones, but it does justice to the original film; however, it's out of print. The only version legally available in the U.S. right now is Miramax's English dub only, "chopshop" version. Maybe that'll change one day.

'The Heroic Trio' also contains a chilling scene where Ah Chat/Mercy gasses the Number 9 Kids to death! This scene is omitted from the US cut. Ah Chat puts the "Asia" back in Euthenasia!

HAHA.....that's insane!

As the father of a baby who fell on a spike, I feel the need to comment on this film...

I thought the scene with the baby falling on the spike was tastefully done. It was a dramatic, emotional scene. A lot of THT was less-than-serious, but the baby-falling-on-spike scene wasn't played for laughs. Pretty powerful cinema and, in my opinion, a tribute to all the real stories out there of people's babies falling on spikes.

I don't approve of the comments below yours that seem to make a mockery of babies falling on spikes. That's just wrong.

Yeah I disapprove it as well. You know I love babies as well, specially roasted! but also on a tasty soup
Why to waste all that tender meat?

PS I've heard that during the production of this film the cast and crew used to eat cheese burgers made with babies, those lucky bastards from movie business!
