Why is this film so hard to find??

You might still be able to find it on VHS on Ebay. And I know, VHS and VCR's are almost completely out of the picture by now. But I did get the VHS from Ebay in 2009, so I finally could see the movie. And it was worth it.

Or you can find it on unofficial DVD at horror movie conventions. I got my hands on such a DVD copy five years ago and still occasionally see it there at the events.

The third film was still made by the main production company, ITC Entertainment Group, but they wound up partnering with Vidmark (behind cheesy productions like the "Leprechaun" films) to help get it released straight-to-video. And then, it unexpectedly got a debut on HBO first, from what I've read here or somewhere. The first two films were released on DVD, so ITC (or whoever possibly bought their company over the years, in case they went under) should be able to release the third film on DVD. And if they're worried about sales and interest, at least release all three films on DVD as a trilogy set.

There are some really crappy slashers on DVD and yet something much better like "Stepfather 3" is still being ignored in the DVD category. It is not great, but is much better and more watchable then some inept and incompetent slashers.
