Something odd.

I wondered the same thing. She was supposedly a famous actress who had been in many films (everybody knew who she was and she was on all of those magazine covers based on the memorial at Jeff's school), yet both Chase and Jeff only watched one scene in a movie where she gets smacked across the face and then shot. Weird.

Funnily enough, it's from a real movie that Darlanne Fluegel was in, "Once Upon a Time in America" (1984). She's in the very first scene.

For some reason though, the dialogue was dubbed and changed. I guess they could only use the film footage but not the audio.
