I like how effed up Harrison lets himself become by the bad guys

He practically gets mugged by that guy in the Annapolis scene before being rescued by the school guards; this was the era when Ford beat up Nazis and bad guys no problem. Jack Ryan was a more human hero for him to play.

He had been out of the CIA for a while? And he’s an analyst, not a field agent. The other guy was younger too. It made sense for him to get a beat down
