What do you think the best things about this film were?

And what were the worst (aside from Keanu)?

The movie looks beautiful from the sets, costumes to the make up effects. Keanu never really bothered me, he's lacking but I don't jump on bandwagons and go overboard like it ruined the movie. Winona certainly never bothered me and today her work here seems better than at the time of release, The very best thing for me is Oldman as Dracula and the magical effects and makeup.

Acting in general apart from Reeves
The visuals
The Love Story between Mina and Dracula
The surreal feel and weirdness to it.
"Love Song for a Vampire" by Annie Lennox
The fact that Oldman and the film makers managed to make Dracula a sympathetic and almost likeable character despite having him do some horrific things.

Bad

Apart from Reeves' acting nothing really. I love this movie.

Except for Gary O., the acting is dreadful -- Keanu being the worst (mostly because of the hilariously bad accent), but everyone else falling closely behind.

But I can't really blame the actors -- when an entire cast overacts, they've clearly been instructed to do so. I think it was an experimental approach on Coppola's part that just didn't really work.

But the design of the film (well, apart from Keanu's gray hair), and Gary O., are so good that I never pass up a chance to watch from beginning to end.

And even Keanu has some redeeming value: He's never looked more beautiful, as in the famous tableau shot with the female vampires, one of whom is licking the blood off his sexy feet.

Right off the top of my head is the soundtrack, costumes, sets, and I always loved the 1462 introduction before the title. And how could I forget...the castle! I love seeing it with the mountains behind! Beautiful and eerie!

I don't get why so much negativity is thrown at Keanu. I think he's awesome, just not really in this film. I don't think he was really needed here, but he did not ruin the film for me overall.

Worst: nothing that detracts me from enjoying this...maybe Keanu but besides that nothing else really.

I never got Keanu's acting. He looks in all the movies I've seen in him kind of goofy.
