Why did the family have to get up at 7am on a Saturday?.

The kids say that their dad wants them to get up at 7am on Saturdays, and they don't like it, but it isn't explained why they have to do that. Does anyone know what the reason is ?.

I don't know the exact reason, but if I had to guess I would say it was because George had a schedule he liked to live by I guess. If you ask me, those kids are lucky that's all they had to do was get up. When I was a kid my dad would wake me up at 7am on Saturdays to cut the grass and wash the cars and do all kinds of chores.

The world may never know why. Just one of life's mysteries, I guess.

"Johnny, you're about to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. How do you feel about that?"

reply

Yeah the dad was definitely one of those guys who fear breaking their daily cycle. I know one personally and boy does he rage if you keep him out past his bedtime even though he hasnt worked in ten years

reply

I'm the same way, I know exactly where I want to be within a 10 minute window just about every day, I found it odd that he imposed that mentality into his family but whatever. He also mentioned that he had a clothing schedule and I am the same way also.

reply

because those are "his rules"...and i feel as though he didn't want his kids to be lazy.

The more personalities you have the less boring you are!

Because Charles Grodin is a dick

It's just a movie, it's not to be taken seriously.
