Are you referring to Celia or Geneviève Pico, the actress who played her? I'm pretty sure you mean Celia, despite that many of the comments seemed to focus on Pico's physical endowment.
In any case, the way I understand the movie, Celia is intentionally made to seem like a person no one would be attracted to because it fit the image that was understood by Martin. However, as we learn more about her, this gives way to a more complex character. Indeed, without that complexity one would be hard pressed to understand why she does what she does. Basically, Martin is convinced there is something evil about her, principally because he is generally distrustful of everyone. Her tormenting him and his refusals seems like a game, but one that the participants have different interpretations. Andy, however, when he first encounters Celia, sees that there is much more to her than the image created by Martin. Yes, there is a beauty, but there is also an intelligence, wit, and a degree of sexual intensity which overtakes them both. Note that I think Celia as well went through the same thing with Andy. I think her first impression (from the photos) was as some sort of rival, but on meeting Andy, saw there was something else and perhaps her sexual frustration over Martin was transferred to Andy. Here it helps that Andy was young and good looking.
That's my two cents.
