Genius in multiple fields... does this happen

The kid was a creative (poetry/art) as well as logical (math/physics) genius. As far as I know this doesn't really happen, I may be wrong.

Yes it does happen!
My dtrs friend is like this- if you're a genius at one thing you can often be an all rounder.

Well, let's see, just off the top of my head, William Blake, Thomas Jefferson, Barbra Streisand, David Bowie, Cher, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci.
