The scenes w/ Connery...elevate this movie

I just watched this for the first time in a very long time. It gets lambasted quite a bit (and yes, it's a rather awkward sequel to its awesome predecessor). However, the scenes with Connery make it a worthy watch. He's simply...cool af.

The scene where he walks into the men's suit shop in Scotland and gets fitted for a fine suit of clothes....this alone is worth the price of admission. It's a great scene...and I like how reverent it is to Sir Sean and his Scottish heritage. There are some fun winks....including one of the seamsters continuously wanting to include a tartan design in his suit ensemble. Sean also enjoys a fine scotch while they work on his suit....and there's even some subtle bagpipe interwoven into the score during this scene.

I also appreciate the last scene with Sir Sean...where he lines the sword up with that propeller bearing down on them....and amazing grace is playing (on the bagpipes!) Maybe it's just the Scot in me....but that too....was a great scene. Connery steals every scene he's in.....and that (for me) elevates this movie.
