Nice to see Hackman + Hopkins together !

Hey there.

I was looking at some movies from the 90's I had not seen then I saw this one from 1991 starring Gene Hackman, how cool ! Then I only looked at the Director's name that I knew from his Star Trek work & more. Then I saw on the poster/dvd cover that it was starring Gene Hackman that I truly love but also Anthony Hopkins !! So I ordered it !!

I didn't really pay attention to the casting's details because having Hackman in a fun movie like that was enough for me to buy it. Plus it had Hopkins !! :-p Well I only realised it wasn't Hopkins when I received the dvd ^^

Nobody else thought that Mikhail Baryshnikov looks like Anthony Hopkins on the poster or dvd cover ?? :-p

Fun movie indeed. The ending is maybe a little.... quickly done IMO but the movie really was a pleasure to watch to me.

Well, Hackman and Hoskins were both in 'A Bridge Too Far' but I don't recall them sharing any scenes, more's the pity. Also, Hackman was of course the original choice to play 'Hannibal Lector' in 'The Silence of the Lambs'.

for me, this film will always be a classic buddy spy film starring Gene H and Sir Anthony Hopkins
