Young Joey Lauren Adams

I remember seeing Joey Lauren Adams in this and thinking she was the most beautiful person I had ever seen. She played a much younger neighbor who had a crush on Matt's character. It's funny now to see that they are actually about the same age.

How old of a girl was she supposed to be playing in the series? I know there were references of her being jail-bait and stuff like her being a felony etc. Whenever I saw this show I thought she was kinda hot and was wondering why Joey was always blowing her off like she wasn't all that. Even if she was underage, which she wasnt at the time, she'd be worth the gamble.

Or at least worth being nice to until she wasn't a gamble.

Joey? It was Vinnie (Matt LeBlanc) that kept blowing her off. She was hot, I thought for him to keep pushing her away, he must be gay!

And that's how we know for sure that you're a female and the original commenter was a male. I, too, remembered this character being very enticing (giving Kelly Bundy a run for her money), and was shocked to only recently find out that the bad girl was played by sweet ol' Joey Lauren Adams. (Technically, the 'jailbait' was being played by an actress who was actually OLDER than me, and I was already of 'consenting' age myself.)

And the later commenter hit the nail on the head when he said that Vinnie could have waited. The producers and writers would certainly have let them become a couple over time (if the show had succeeded for a couple of years and she had come of age).

Has everyone forgotten that she's not been in anything mainstream for years? She was never really that great.

I watched about 3 or 4 episodes of this back in the day as I recall, and the sole reason I stuck it out for that long was her. Incredibly hot, portrayed as forbidden fruit yes, but still very nice to look at. In reality she's only six years my junior.

She may not have had the stellar A list career that others have enjoyed, but I have to salute her for not going the "Hollywood brat" route to further herself like the Paris Hiltons and Lindsay Lohans and Kim Kardashians of the world have taken.

She strikes me as a hardworking actor who shows up and does her best no matter how small the role is. And she's always noticeable.

Flipped past Big Daddy and saw her, remember her in this painful show. Its only bright spot: JLA in shorts and a crop top showing off that great body of hers.
