Is there anyone out there who loves this?

I absolutely love this movie! It's so bizarre and creepy.

I'd really love to see a UK DVD release of this film- even just on a cheapie Prism Leisure kind of label- under the title Bugs. I just think it's a little gem.

Goddamn it, McNulty- next time someone hands you an exploding ham, I'm gonna give you the mustard.

Most will say its weird, has Clint Howard and some gross out effects, but there's more to it then meets the eye.

There's a lot of well observed behaviors. Take the post opening sequence for instance. Neith Hunter's character is being repressed or ignored by men.

-She tries to talk to her boyfriend about the story or advancing her career, but her boyfriend ignores what she's saying.

-At the office, Hunter suggests the story. Then they give the story to her boyfriend instead after ignoring Hunter. However, they ask her to get some coffee for them.

At the dinner scene when Hunter is meeting her boyfriend's parents she talks about her train of thought as to why other holidays are extension of Christmas. The bf's boyfriend shoots her down saying its BS, but doesn't offer any reasoning as to why he thinks it's BS.

At the book story, when Hunter meets Adams for the first time or when Beasley talks to Hunter after being shot down by her boss and boyfriend. They actually pay attention to Hunter and offer to help. The idea I see behind these interactions is that men are self absorbed and don't pay attention, but that women are more caring and willing to help each other out.

Still re-watching the rest of the movie for the first time in nearly 15 years, but it's definitely got me intrigued.
