Spoiler: Death scene edited

In the scene where it turns out that Kathryn, the woman who was flirting with Caulfield, is a hired assassin, he makes a crack: "You know what I like about you? You're tall." Then he and Carol duck and it's implied Kathryn is knocked off the roof of the train as it goes through a tunnel. Why did the filmmakers feel the need to edit that out? Was it considered too gruesome? Several characters were seen being shot, not to mention the two sleazes who plunged to their deaths when thrown off the train. Puzzling, to say the least.

Some people have an imagination and some directors are savvy enough to let them use it.

Perhaps the OP just wants to reach out for some sense of community.

"Not to mention the two sleazes who plunged to their deaths".

We never saw what happened to them after they hit the ground, either.

I think it actually worked better showing their reaction shot rather than the blond woman getting clobbered by the tunnel. Plus, the production saved on what would have been an expensive (both in time and money) and dangerous stunt.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
