Natalie is not ...
a lesbian. There's a conversation between her and her sister Nicola two-thirds of the way through and it's implicit that she is not a lesbian. I never saw her as such myself.

Was that the conversation they had Natalie didn't want to bring up a child on her own? A great scene by the way. And I agree, just because she dresses like a man and is a plumber doesn't mean a thing. A lot of people have that opinion of her and they can't base it on how they see her or what she does.
shareI don't think her sexuality is relevant. I understand why people would draw that conclusion, but that look of hers was quite common in those times. My mother had a similar look (minus the glasses).
Not that her speaking about children would mean she'd want a man as well, though.
She did mention that she is open the idea of a man, though. It was her rude sister who wanted to raise a child without the involvement of a male.
