King of New York better than Scarface??

I was just wondering if you guys thought King of New York was better than Scarface...

In time, I might end up liking "King of New York" more. But right now, I'm going to say that Scarface is a superior film. However, Scarface IS one of the most overrated films ever. And with that said, I prefer the direction in KONY to Scarface's. AND I also prefer Christopher Walken's performance as the far more menacing Frank White over Pacino's iconic but ridiculously over-the-top and humorous performance as Tony Montana.

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!

The '83 version doesn't even stand up to the movie that 'inspired' it, the 1932 version starring Paul Muni. KONY is more original and stands on its own. Scarface 83 is not and too many of its diehards refuse to admit it is a remake of the 32 film, to this day, so, they will never admit another film is better or more original than it.

Scarface is infinitely better.

No, it's not better at all.

YES, I find scarface to be very overrated. This however was very enjoyable...

I never thought about this question before. I definitely feel more at-home with Frank than with Tony.
