I concur, no remakes... but a sequel could be great.

What for? What would you like to change/improve in this movie?

I don't think remake is a good idea, sequel, however, could be ok.

This kind of a movie belongs to the 80's/90's and it should stay there.

A sequel with Dolph Lundgren returing called "I come in peace too!". That would rock!

Dunno. If anything, it'd be more fitting to title the sequel something like "I Return in Peace!" Feels very 80s, no?

However, I don't think this film would need a sequel at all--Stone Cold didn't and I think this one doesn't either.

Oh yeah! This was a cool sci fi flick and with the current video technology available, a remake could be made which would really be on another level! But I must say that Matthias Hues was indeed one of kind in his portrayal of the alien. I'm not sure which route would be tken in order to recreate his role.

WHAT THE *beep* IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!?!?!? WHY DOES EVERY FILM OVER TWENTY YEASRS OLD HAVE A GODDAMNED 'REMAKE' THREAD IN ITS BOARD!?!?! REMAKES ARE TRASH!!!! THEY ALWAYS TURN INTO CGI CRAP=FESTS!!

"is this dangerous?"
"not clinically."

reply

No remake!! It's not needed and would be lousy in most likelyhood as typical Hollywood big budget remakes of lower budget B-films are.

Maybe sequel isn't too bad of an idea. I always wanted to see the alien cop from this film take on Predator or Alien, or both.

But that's the kid in me who loved 'King Kong vs Godzilla' talking.

Absolutely not, this movie doesn't need a remake because it has aged well and is still entertaining.

I agree completely. They're actually remaking the Never Ending Story, a film so visually stunning, it didn't NEED CGI in the first place! Then there's the remake of Drop Dead Fred with Russell Brand doing his best impression of Rik Mayall. The character was DESIGNED for Rik Mayall in the first place seeing as it was just an amalgamation of his character from "The Young Ones", "Filthy Rich and Catflap" and "Bottom"!

What morons these people are for all their remakes. There's enough original fiction out there for one or 2 of these lazy producers to read a BOOK sometime and see how far that gets them. If they add a name of the moment star into the mix and throw $100M of CGI in for good measure, they might just risk it one day.

I come in peace too (tragically would only work in territories where the film was i come in peace) could feature dolph taking the fight to the aliens homeworld and hooking up wiht one of their cops and taking on the big guys bosses! I reckon it would be pretty good and may get Dolph out of direct to dvd hell

First off, there's nothing wrong with this movie. I stands just fine on its own. Second, Hollywood has turned into a dumpster fire, churning out the remakes and 3D movies by the boatload to make up for the apparent lack of imagination and the fact that Hollywood is owned by corporations now and it has become a business now more than ever where the allmighty dollar stands supreme. The quality and art of cinema has been vanquished in favor of bigger explosions, more CG, and terrible acting.

Seriously though, the last thing we need is to have another movie from that era remade and completely $h!t on. Just leave it alone.
