I haven't seen it for a while, but I don't recall him killing anyone. It just seems he got in way over his head with the wrong people. He wasn't actually an evil person IMO, just someone who made a terrible mistake. I think it would have been more fitting if he had just been left on Earth as a ghost to pay his penance.
sharei would say so. even though carl didn't start off being that horrible of a person and only wanted willie to rob sam not kill him, he ended up turning into a monster who clearly had every intention to kill oda mae and molly had he not been thwarted.
shareI disagree about the Molly bit, he wouldn't have killed her, he was just all out desperate at that point and knew that Sam would back off slightly if he could get Molly in his grips.
