So was up with the confederate flag?
I really like this movie (wicked parody of the 50s) but I was just curious why the flag was there (like in the background at the turkey point dance)

Because it's the rebel flag? I see more of the confederate flag up north than I ever did living in the south.
shareJohn Waters mentioned that when he was growing up, people would display it in some parts of his town. People like Cry-Baby's adult family would fit the type that would have one. The younger generation I guess was a little more evolved.
