Is this film's usage of "Wind Beneath My Wings" technically not an anachronism?

It's listed as a "goof" in IMDb's page for this movie:

About 45 minutes in when you hear the song Wind Beneath my Wings playing. The movie takes place in 1985-86. The song didn't come out until 1988.

Even though Bette Midler's version is undoubtedly the most famous and definitive version, "Wind Beneath My Wings" was recorded well before that.

As indicated in that article up above, before Bette Midler's version came out, the song was recorded by Roger Whittaker, Sheena Easton, BJ Thomas, Lee Greenwood, Gary Morris, Gladys Knight & The Pips, and Lou Rawls.

Maybe the confusion stems from the fact that Midler's version hit #1 roughly around the same time that the Challenger docudrama was conceptualized and entered production. So there's a bit of an argument that the filmmakers were deliberlity using their "dramatic license" for the sake of sentimentality. ABC used "Wind Beneath My Wings" prominently in the promos for Challenger back in 1990.
