Wasn’t That Bad. Sort of Miss It.

Not such a bad show “She Wolf of London” was compared to the fare that was otherwise on your tube back then. Liked the chemistry between her & Ian & you had his stuffy parents who were funny & that kid Julian who in real life was actually older than Kate was!. That’s hysterical!
Some of the episodes were pretty cool, mostly the succbus one & the one where the witch wanted to steal her soul so she could become a werewolf.

But otherwise ultimately disappointing. Another series that never concluded its arc before it got cancelled. Randi never found a cure or was cured. “Love & Curses” I thought was a joke but in some strange way I thought it made sense. The fact where they explained that Randi & Ian could never consummate their marriage as married couples often do, due, to her werewolf curse, where she would transform against her will when they tried to make love actually put a new spin on it.

Don’t think I’ve seen many movies or shows where this was the case but it was an interesting subplot to throw in there. That too of course was never fix/solved as the show was cancelled. There should be a law that if you’re gone then you get to do one last show to wrap things up, no matter how rushed it may be & so that’s what should’ve happened to this.

Regarding the “curse” thing with her not being able to have “intimate” relations with Ian, well if you remember there was that episode with some woman doctor/scientist researching sex, attraction where she did something to Randi to make her super horny where Randi then grabbed some guy, a lab assistant I think & had sex with him. Which sort of is a plot hole when you consider they eventually would say she couldn’t due to the curse but I realize that they only came up with the latter when “Love & Curses” came along so ok.

No one involved in this had much of a career, well at least a “great one” after this. Kate Hodge WAS in that Brandon Lee movie where she was the main star along with him so that was a score for her but sadly it wasn’t followed up with much of anything else but I still reminisce about this show sometimes. It’s on DVD now yes, but I wish they’d put it up on Prime or iTunes for download but eh, those are the breaks.

What was interesting is they didn’t have her change into a werewolf, in every single episode which was novel I’d say unlike the fox show “Werewolf” where he changed most every episode. Instead her & Ian were doing other stuff, much like “Supernatural” or “Friday the 13th, the show”
