More relevant now than ever

With the current situation regarding climate change and global warming, i think this is now relevant now more than ever.

The show knew in the 90s (as did the world) that we needed to make changes to our lives collectively to prevent damage to our environment including animal species. The message was pretty clear and a good honest one. It was also educational.

This show wasn't the only one trying though, other efforts were bieng made, but it all became largely ignored by other matters taking precedence such as wars on terror and a global financial crisis. But the point is, more effort should and could have been undertaken from the late 90s and 2000s - we knew the consequences but didnt think it would happen within our lifetimes, and now it is!

If I could go back in time, I would go back and somehow get more light shown on shows like this and promote a real effort and need to take action on this. Sadly though, we have now have monumental task ahead of us to improve things within the time frame we have been given before the real affects start to cause mass droughts and starvation that are on trajectory to happen.

I wish this show existed in a new form today, or was re-aired to educate families and people generally, on the harm we are doing it ourselves. Maybe a decent film that is well done would suffice?

All I know is, we need Captain Planet now more than ever.

They need a live action movie--assuming the movie theaters ever open again
