The old age makeup on Lori Singer's face...

...looked like silly putty.

That is all.

Everytime I see that part with the makeup, I think it looks odd.

I hate Barbie, that bitch has everything!

reply

I think that it is funny because I think that is exactly how she looks now LOL!!!

reply

Yes, aging her 20 year was a good predictor of how she'd look in 2009. Though her hair isn't gray yet ... not that she's not dying it. She's a terrific actress who should have become a bigger star.

reply

The aging was ridiculous. She looked at least 65 when she was supposed to be 40 and looked 80 when she was supposed to be 60

reply

Well, since it was a curse; it still might not have been aging her the exact way she was supposed to age over the years. The curse will do its job of aging a person 20 yrs a day, but maybe not in the nicest way if that makes any sense. But I do agree that most 40 and 60 yr olds look better than Kassandra looked at those respective ages *nods*.

~I think so Brain, but who would want a pierced Brosnan?~

reply

I must disagree. I was just thinking that if they were trying to age her, they wouldn't have to do much, because she hasn't aged!

reply

Aging was a lot harsher in the 80's than it is now. And one can imagine there is no "aging gracefully" when that aging of 20 years takes place over the course of a day.

But yeah, that was amateur aging compared to Von Sydow in "The Exorcist".

My "#3" key is broken so I'm putting one here so i can cut & paste with it.

This doesn't seem to have been widely known (though I just put info on imdb and Wikipedia) but Lori Singer clashed with makeup man Carl Fullerton and refused to let him properly apply the makeup and prosthetics that were created. Of course, in defense of Singer, Fullerton's aging makeup in Stephen King's "The Golden Years" was equally unconvincing.

reply

It does look a bit silly

reply

Too bad she refused to wear the prosthetics that they were supposed to use.
