Weird names
Being Scottish, I'm intrigued by most of the characters' names. Are they actual real names? We don't have those names here. Apart from Spud, obviously. We have Spuds aplenty.

I suspect now that most of them are just nicknames, very common in the South in particular.
'Drum' is likely Drummond
'M'Lynn' is Mary Lynn and so forth.
'Spud' is likely just a for~fun nickname.
I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
Didn't he discover America?

The nickname Spud is usually given to people with the surname of Murphy. But not in this case.
