No BluRay remastered edition anywhere..why?

Not released in the US, UK, Germany, France.. It seems it doesn't exist any.

reply

Probably cos there's no HD master of the film, and it costs a lot of money to make one.

There's a remastered version coming out in Germany this year, followed by a UK release.

Yes Brian has confirmed this to me on facebook

I bought the German Blu this week... and very lovely it is too! (I also got the new German 3-disc Blu release of RE-ANIMATOR.) Definitely worth buying, imo. It's got the audio commentary from the AB disc, and the film's trailer as extra features.

According to Amazon, Society has undergone 4K restoration and will be arriving on blu-ray in the U.K. in March. 4K restorations are expensive so I imagine they will release this in as many other regions are possible. Hopefully the U.S. is next.

Arrow Video are releasing Society onto Blu-ray, as well as Brian Yuzna's underrated sequel to Re-Animator, Bride of Re-Animator. I'm looking forward to getting both.

It's cool that Arrow are releasing this, thank God for companies like that, I've wanted to see this and searched for it a couple of times with no luck.
