Dr Eileen Cole was not real, Christy Brown had a 10 year affair in 1960s with a married woman who's not mentioned once in the movie and the woman he married in 1972 was a hooker who abused him. This movie is about as historically in
accurate as Argo. Still, Daniel Day Lewis's performance is a tour de force.

It did take some liberties there but I wonder if the autobiography it was based on also made similar ‘adjustments’.
