Apollo Creed has more integrity than Daniel

Apollo Creed could have left Rocky alone and moved on in his career. However, he felt that his victory was illegitimate. His quote was, "man, I won but I didn't beat him!" Apollo knew that according to the Queensberry rules he was the winner. However, Apollo knew, as well as the public, that he was not a clear winner.

Daniel on the other hand, celebrated by hooping, hollering, and jumping up and down, like he just wiped the mat with Barnes.

On a side note, Daniel did that very same flip on Barnes earlier in the movie in a non-tournament setting. What happened? Barnes immediately got up unfazed and within seconds had his foot on Daniel's throat.

Daniel "won", but he didn't beat Barnes. He never acknowledged that. Do you think he gave an inspirational Rocky speech post fight? No.

The whole match would have left karate purists scratching their heads. Between Daniel’s free trip to the final and his unpenalized assault of a fan to his kata routine and questionable sudden death point, it was shrouded in questionable calls. The tournament committee needed to rethink its format after the clearly superior fighter, having wowed the crowd with a virtuoso display, was left in second place to an overweight, urinating novice who only seconds earlier had been groveling on the floor. It was a bad advertisement for the sport.

If video footage of the match existed in the Cobra Kai universe, Anthony and Samantha would be be teased at school.

Would have been interesting if Daniel was obsessed with a rematch with Barnes and started terrorizing him by burning down his shop… oh wait he already did that. He could have paid for a Larisso Auto ad that had him saying “Barnes can call me at the number on the screen… and he can call me collect!”

Excellent comparison between the Master of Disaster and the Disaster.

Creed knew that Balboa had probably defeated him on points and had something to prove to the fans and himself.

That's how a real man reacts.

Whineielle had to know that his fluke love tap proved nothing, that Barnes was the far superior fighter.

Danny Boy should have demanded a public rematch or at least a private one like Rocky and Apollo at the end of Rocky III.

Barnes lost, get over it....he did.
