So the killer is "nobody?"

EXCEPT HE'S THE DAMN TITLE CHARACTER! This is like Seven only they were actually interested in the genius psychopath in that film. This movie ignores it...why? Oh, I really wanted to like this movie but it just shot itself in the ass. How can such a great cast be so dull and unfun? It also proves what should be obvious. You can't make a movie about serial killers funny unless you make it a very black comedy and you really know what you're doing. Maybe that's why they didn't want to go in depth with the killer because it would actually remind the filmmakers that serial killer films are a gruesome subject. It's even worse that Kline's movie right before this wrote the book on how to make a movie about criminal activity hilarious (A Fish Called Wanda.) Just a terrible script and wasted everything.

That's the thing about serial killers. They can be anybody. Not necessarily the most pervasive character around.
