I think his best performance (best everything, period.) was Ip Man. There`s a real, full-blown dramatic acting moment in Ip Man 2 when he finds out his brother-in law sustained brain damage from a gunshot wound, and he stares out him sobbing - that`s some real acting he`s doing there!

One of my favorite moments in John Wick 4 was when Donnie Yen did a wind-up before a punch exactly like an old Popeye cartoon. I googled to see if other people thought it was funny or cool or stupid, and that was how I found out about these movies. Someone posted "The Popeye wind-up is like Yen's trademark, he's been doing it since his first movie." I watched this whole thing waiting for it, was starting to think he didn't do it in this one... then he finally did it toward the end of the final fight. Glorious.
