So.... who saw it in the Cinema ?!

It is one of my earliest memories of going to the movies , I absolutely loved that film when I was little. I remember watching the commercial for it on TV and the disney channel making off featurette (At the time the SFX were a very big deal) and overall being very excited to get to see it on the big screen. Anyone else ?

I saw it in the theater. My cousins and I loved it. Just a perfect kids' film.

I saw it when the local mall used to have a theater on the inside of it. It was one of the first movies I can remember going to see.

I saw it in a cinema twice in July, 1989 when it first came out. I was not a child, the demographic it was geared to, but was 21 and had just finished my third (and last) year of college. But I had seen advertisments for it and did want to see it, and went to a new theater, Tower Place, in Pineville, NC to see it twice that month. And I really liked it, it was my third favorite movie of 1989 (after Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Batman), and one of my all time favorites.

I saw it. I'm not sure if it was the opening weekend or the next weekend because it came out the same day as Batman, and I saw Batman first. It had a packed daytime audience and was one of the big movies to anticipate that mega-movie summer, despite it often being referred to as a "surprise hit".

This was my first live action movie I saw as a kid. My mom read in the review about the ant dying and warned me before we saw it so I wouldn't cry.

I saw it when I was 8 or 9. There was a local cinema that had only had three screens, that closed down when a big multiplex opened closeby. This was the last film I saw at the 3-screened cinema.

I did! That was a great summer for movies, and I still have vivid memories of seeing this one, and it's sequel.

I did. It was really interesting that it had a cartoon short before the film. I even saw the sequel in theaters. The sequel seemed to disappear quickly. I only saw it for the 2nd time like a year or two ago. I haven't seen Shrunk in a while. It definitely deserves a nice DVD/Blu-Ray release with extras. That is one reason I have put off seeing it again - lame home video release.
