Jamie should use Michael's name when addressing him


It's odd that Jamie calls her slashing relative "Uncle Boogeyman." It defeats the purpose. The girl might have a better chance if she were to call the killer "Uncle Michael." She is showing that she views Michael the same way that everyone else does, which destroys a potentially safe connection between the two. Even though Michael is accustomed to being called his name by the authority of his life, it might sound different to him coming from Jamie. He pauses his violence for the first time upon hearing the word uncle.
