The Pink slime is terrifying because they really can't get rid of it.

It thrives off negative emotions and the fact is even with the Statue of Liberty walking through New York there is still angry or depressed people that will make that slime stay around. Frankly I don't see any way to get rid of it permanently since the only way it could happen is to make everyone in the entire city is happy and that just isn't possible.
