and then Dana mentioned to Peter something over dinner like "why don't you just give me a ________ in the year 2000" I can't understand what did she just asked for and why in the year 2000?
Peter says he could have himself whipped into shape by the end of the century. Dana says, "Why don't you give me a jingle in the year 2000?" Meaning, she'll be waiting for him when he gets his act together.
sharePersonally, by 1999, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson were looking way older so no. I wouldn't have wanted it to be released then. Plus it might not have done as well that year. I know it didn't do that well in 1989 thanks to Batman but it might have had too much competiton. That was the year of The Sixth Sense, Toy Story 2, The Matrix, The Mummy, and Sleepy Hollow came out. If it was released around the same time as any of those it would've probably done worse.
