Why no Amy Peterson?

Do they talk about her? or why she was not around? lol thanks.

reply

She would have been 31 if she'd been in this movie. Far too old to be a teenager.

reply

I don't know if it's that Amanda Bearse would have been too old -- look at the original 90210 with people like Gabrielle Carteris and Ian Ziering being passed off as students.

Sexism is more likely the real reason. There's a trend in franchise movies where the girlfriend will be replaced in favor of a new love interest for subsequent films, because Hollywood wants to put a "hot, new" actress on parade.

reply

She was offered to reprise her roll but had to turn it down do to the fact the she was working on Married With Children

reply

I haven't seen this one, but just because they got a different actress, why did they change the character?

"SHUT UP!"
"What did you say to me, Potter?"

reply

they could've at least added a few lines to discuss the whereabouts of her character, instead it's like she doesn't exist.

in the begining they mention that jerry dandrage was a serial killer who abducted charlies girlfriend (amy) so she is mentioned or reffered to

reply

reply

Because producers needed someone who won't believe Charley. Who better than a new girlfriend.
Just imagine their first date: "Hi, I'm Charley, and I'm court-ordered to go to shrink every day because I believe I killed a bunch of vampires last year including my best friend and my evil neighbor who kidnapped my previous girlf... What?".
If she stayed with him after that, either it's true love, or she liked his body. :)

reply

It made perfect sense to me that he would have a new girlfriend. It's not like they were married. Break-ups happen all the time.

reply

True. Break-ups do happen all the time. Especially after you save your significant other from vampires.

reply

Lol! I'm just saying that anything could have happened after the fact. The experience could have either bonded them for life or traumatized Amy enough to the point where she ultimately decided not to see Charlie again. Perhaps his very presence served as a reminder of what happened. What they went through was surreal! I'm sure they all had nightmares.

reply

I think Amy's repressed libido was now so unleashed and heightened that one lover wasn't sufficient for her.

reply

College happened.

reply

The simplest solution and rings true even today, Especially if they went to different colleges.

reply

It's because she was no longer a virgin. Jerry had her way with her BEFORE biting her on the neck.

reply

She left Charley for another woman.

Happy Halloween!!
You're doomed! You're all doomed!

reply

In all honesty, I didn't miss her. I liked Tracy Lin a lot better. I liked Alex' character better too.

reply

Charlie went through such hell to rescue her from a dangerous vampire just for them to break up shortly after. What a waste.
