Gary's accent

I love Gary Oldman, but watching him do an American accent is a bit painful. His voice sounds so stilted and at times it seems forced. He does other accents much better.

Why sould he speak "american accent"?.He speaks English, the original one.
By the way, you say "American". Do you mean US or All The American Continent?

Gary is one of my favorites, he is so good you forget who he is.

But in this he would slip and fall back into an English accent.

He may not have nailed the accent they wanted exactly, but at no point did it ever sound like Gary Oldman's normal speaking voice... That's good enough for me.

From what I remember as the accent (saw it in the 80s, and remember it being British-like), I think it ended up being a lot like what I know as Canadian PEI or even Newfie now.

You know the sound that Goofy makes when he falls? That's my quote.

Of all the things wrong with this dog of a film, Oldman's accent isn't worth mentioning.
