No need to argue if this movie is good or bad...

...this movie is simply one of the finest examples of Guilty Pleasure cinema. It's technically competent, it never takes itself too seriously, it's cliché as hell but in an entertaining way, the cast has good character actors, the violence is sometimes cheesy but never completely tasteless, the soundtrack is pure '80s nostalgia, the lead actor sells the part very well and the pacing is fast enough to keep you glued to your seat until the end credits arrive.
Give me a movie like this one over any of today's CGI infested crappy action cartoons. Another good example of a guilty pleasure is Schwartzenegger's The Running Man. Of course Blind Fury doesn't play in the same league of smart action movies like Die Hard or Predator, but it's entertaining and it doesn't insult the viewer's intellingence pretending to be something more than pure escapism (hope it's the right word, my english is still not very good). Today's action movies are always bleak, gritty and somber but it's just a trick they use to mask the fact they're based on poor scripts and the characters have no depth at all.
