the movie that time forgot?

Was this a direct to video release, or a theatrical release. I can remember quite a few other films from 1989, but not this one. Was it perhaps overshadowed by other films? It must have really bombed.

Time indeed forgot this film, probably with good reason. The credit says 1989, but the look is more 1987. Not a horrible film, but it helps to lower your expectations greatly to watch it.

I never saw it until recently, but I always remembered the title and a couple of the actors in it.
