Phillip Rhee is a lifelong martial artist who started training at the age of 4, he currently holds black belts in Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido and Kendo.

Phillip Rhee is featured in Part 2 of this 5 part series, where I am going to talk about the top 5 Martial Arts Movies Stars of the 1990's that were not Jean-Claude Van Damme or Steven Seagal.

Every one of these men in the top 5 had a real legitimate shot of joining JCVD and Seagal as a top martial arts action hero. Phillip Rhee is widely known for the cult classic Best of the Best, a film he also wrote. He would return for the sequel, Best of the Best 2, alongside co-star Eric Roberts. Sadly, Eric Roberts would not join him in Best of the Best 3: No Turning Back or Best of the Best 4: Without Warning.

It's really a shame that Phillip Rhee was not offered more roles in Hollywood, as the man is clearly skilled as well as charismatic.
