Who remembers the short-lived animated spin-off back in the 90s? While not as good as it's live-action big brother it's a surprisingly pretty good show actually. John Kassir reprises the Crypt Keeper and the stories are more traditional Horror fare but nonetheless entertaining. All three seasons have a lot of entertaining episodes and some are even fairly scary for a kids' show. I think the best overall episode is the pilot, While The Cat's Away. Most if not all episodes should be viewable on YouTube.

I wish it'd come to DVD already, maybe even a complete series set with some special features.

I really enjoyed this cartoon. I especially loved seeing the Crypt Keeper interact with the Vault Keeper and the Old Witch, who were both absent from the live action television series. It was also great that, just like the TV show, they adapted a lot of the stories from the original EC comics from the 50's. They were a lot less gruesome and adult oriented though, obviously, but that was fine. A lot of them were still pretty dark and kind of scary. I really wish it would get a proper DVD release with every episode from all three seasons.
