Wasnt all that bad

I thought it was somewhat decent for a low budget Alien wannabe, I mean especially how the creature bred inside humans and ripped out of them. Anyhow it was still pretty good for time period and budget!

I rented it from Blockbuster online. It started out slow, but got good later on. Has anyone seen the sequel Terror Within 2?

Edit: The sequel is pretty bad, I bought it for $1 online. That's about what it was worth too.

The first seven films were released in a box set years ago for a short time. Full Moon continues to sell them, even though they're technically bootlegs, because Full Moon doesn't own legal distribution.

I can't even believe they could muster enough hope to make a sequel. Damn.

Seeing that gigantic "cell phone" was cool though.

reply

Indeed 'gigantic Cell Phone' was funny, but 5 minutes into the movie and I can already tell this is gonna be dumb.

reply

I thought this film was a fun little sci-fi/horror flick.

1,000 mini-bios and I feel like I'm just getting started

reply

I thought it was moderately entertaining, but it lost a bit of traction in the second half once we actually see the monster. Roger Corman is right: You don't want to show the monster too soon. Unfortunately, I think the jumped the gun here.

Regardless, this is a fairly fun movie with a good mix of horror and humor, the dog was a total delight and the mammoth mobile phone was a riot. 6/10 stars from me.

reply

Yeah, as "Alien" clones go, it actually was passably entertaining.

What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!

reply

I liked it too. Fun and campy at the same time; Dialogue just flows, the murders are brutal, and the women red hot. Only George Kennedy seemed rather out of place with his "do not venture beyond the area marked with buoys, kids" routine.
