What if Sylvester Stallone adapted the "Forces of Freedom" animated series?

You know the one that came out off of the heels of the massive box office success of "Rambo: First Blood Part II". Rambo: The Force of Freedom was basically what you would get if you mixed John Rambo with the world of "G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero":

Wouldn't that been better served in hindsight, then sending Rambo to Afghanistan (and essentially teaming up with what would become the Taliban) right around the time that the Soviets were pulling out?
