This is quite possibly the worst movie ever. The only competition would be Friday the 13th. Not only is the plot mildly retarded, but the characters and actors in the movie show attributes that are comparable to my 9 year old cousin with down synndrome. A biking accent in the middle of an isolated farm is horribly pathetic. Not only would an accident this severe not even cause any permanent damage, it sure as hell wouldn't kill the person. From the death of his son, some random backward ass redneck summons some crazy ass demon with wings that looks like a burnt muppet from space with a huge head.

Anyone who finds this movie frightening should be sterilized.

However... on the comedy side, we are rating this movie a 10.

ilikepie427, I can guess already by your name, that the only one who should be sterilized here is you, first off that movie was made in the 80s when special effects werent as good as they are now, and the movie is a good classic. You are just an arrogent bastard, I can understand if someone didnt like the movie but to compare the actors to your 9 yr old cousin with down syndrome, is so *beep* barbaric, do u have no soul?Im surprised Someone of your intelligence, can actually turn a tv on let alone be able to put a movie on! Seriously, if someone going fast, runs into a little boy it could kill them, the fact that u think a speeding motor bike slamming into a little boy wont do any damage makes me think you dont have a brain. Right now I would respect an opinion of a frog then, yours! Becuz anything else would make sense then the *beep* you have come across with! Do the world a favor and dont ever voice your opinion again!

Just what is a "biking accent"? And Pumpkinhead does not have wings. At least he doesn't in the first movie; not sure about the 2nd. The only one here "mildly retarded" is you. "However... on the comedy side" i am rating you a 10. LoL

As you are a living testament to. Sure, you didn't like this movie but you're only really posting here because you want to stir *beep* up among people who DO like this movie? Well why don't you do me a favour and jump in front of a fu**ing train and just die. Take lots of sleeping pills. Hang yourself. Jump out of a tall building and just "rid the world of your *beep* evil presence."

You piece of s h i t. I hope someone near you snaps and kills you very soon. I wish Pumpkinhead was real so we could send him after you, to hell with the concequences.

Find something better to do with your time than hassle people who see something in a film that you do not yourself see.

Maybe you should check your own grammar before you start slamming other people's grammar. Two glaring examples from your original post:

1. "synndrome" is not a word. Did you mean "syndrome"?

2. Can you explain to me what a "biking accent" is?

So the special effects in the 80's aren't as good as they are now?! Hell they were infinitely better than they are now!! Hell all they are now is computer generated *beep* I'd take puppetry and animatronics anyday over this new cgi vomit!!

Pumkinhead wasn't great, and maybe it was even on the bad side of average, but let's not exaggerate too much here. It wasn't the worst movie ever, if it was, it may have been a better movie. At least there would have been that. Pumkinhead was only just pretty bad, which is bad enough. The worst part is, it could have been pretty good. It had an okay setup, a middle aged widower who loses his son in a accident, and goes for revenge, but then it loses itself. The teenagers weren't believable at all. They accidentally killed a kid, so the whole group goes and hides out. I guess it kept the costs down, Pumkinhead didn't have to travel to a city or supburbs to find his victims, but it made for a more STUPID movie. I gave it a four.

Pumpkin Head and Friday the 13th... worst movies ever. WOW. Man oh man, I thought they were ok, not the best, but there are WAY worse. Unhinged... Leprachan in Space... the Last Samuri... some on, these are all way worse.

Come on!This has to be one of the best 80s horror movies ever! Along with Re-Animator, The Thing, Evil Dead, and others. I confess this did scare me. Also nice effects!

Go watch a Ulli Lommel film. Any will do. If you have the ability to sit through it without vomiting to death (I don't exaggerate), perhaps you may be able to appreciate this film. Granted, as the expenses and expectations continue to lower in today's low-budget horror world, 'Pumpkinhead' will look good by default. However, I think that there's lot that was original and cool in the film, especially when compared to other 80s/90s horror/slasher films involving the stereotypical "group of teens." And Lance Henriksen proves he can act (we all knew he could, right?).

Pumpkinhead being 17+ years old is no excuse for it's crapness, the exorcist,the texas chainsaw massacre and night of the living dead are over thirty years old but are classic's,pumpkinhead is just plain rubbish.I saw it on it's u.k video release back in the late eighties as 'vengence the demon' and again on u.k tv last night (hence this message board entry) and it is still very poor.

And does people ever look for directing\acting\editing\anything other then story and lame excuses to bring movie down?

People try to find logic in group of kids that hide in cabin and they complain how "unnatural" that was, but the same people think that demon summoning happens everyday...

I like Pumpkinhead,as I have a real fondness for 80's horror flicks.I'll definitely be getting the special edition DVD when it's released.Some of my favourite 80's horrors are:
