What's the name of the monster in your language? In Polish we call it "Dynioglowy" which literally means "pumpkin headed".

"Kurpitsapää" kurpitsa: pumpkin, pää: head :)

In Finnish that is. Tho' the movie was translated into "Koston paholainen" (demon of the revenge) :P

Not a bad movie btw! Old horror ftw.

In Spain the movie was titled "Pacto de Sangre" (Agreement of blood) and the creature was named "Cabezón" (Big Head) to use a single word like in English and not more because Spanish for Pumpkinhead is "Cabeza de Calabaza".

It's "Kõrvitsapea" in Estonian. "Kõrvits" means "pumpkin" and "pea" means "head".

I don't think the Japanese have a native word for pumpkin, they have kabocha, which is actually a sort of green Asian squash, so maybe they'd make a portmanteau like they did with Gojira, which is derived from the words for gorilla (Gorira) and whale (kujira)...so I don't know. They'd probably just call it revenge demon, oni ga fukushu o suru or somethng... ;-)

in greek, it would be "kolokithokefalos" :) [kolokitha = pumpkin, kefali = head] best IMDb thread ever :)
