How come this fllm is never shown, I wonder?

I don't recall it getting much press at the time.

Maybe it doesn't benefit from repeat viewings or draw as much of an audience as its contemporaries.

1988 alone gave us "Beetlejuice," "Die Hard," "Twins," "Working Girl," "Big" and "Midnight Run." Any one of those is likely to draw a larger TV audience than this film.
